KEEFE BROGAN O'KANE
Right, this kid here goes by the name of Keefe, but if he likes you he'll probably let you call him Key; but never Keefers. Not even his brother gets away with that one. Keefe's seventeen years old and has recently moved here with his abusive, alcoholic father and his superpowered identical twin brother. He, however, is completely normal, even disadvantaged due to his inability to see if you take away those funny looking glasses. Needless to say, he's a little bit jealous of his brother and resentful toward his father, and is hoping he can escape all of that and be his own person here. He's a bit spiny, though, so anyone who wants to be on his good side will have to work for it.
All right, so you want to be this guy's buddy. Be aware that he is not a natural socializer and lots of patience will be needed if you want to get him to start coming to you on his own. He'll only have a few close friends, but he'll keep them for a very long time after they've proven themselves worthy of his time. Once befriended, you'll find that he can be rather pleasant; he has an excellent memory and can recall almost every joke he's ever heard in his life, and he's sharp and clever enough to come up with a few of his own. Those who like having secrets, avoid this boy; human as he is, he's very good at picking up the little details and piecing them together. But then, why worry? He won't tell.
Keefe makes enemies much easier than he makes friends. He's slightly paranoid anyway and automatically suspects a prank or trick when anyone approaches him, so his attitude toward everyone is usually wary and brisk. Also, don't make the mistake of thinking that just because he's quiet it means he's shy; he will not hesitate to take revenge, directly or indirectly, on someone he feels has wronged him. He never forgets an injury and is very much a grudge-holder; if he says he forgives you, he does, but not for a second will he not remember what you did to him. Nosy, intrusive people annoy him, as well as those who're smarter than him or try to 'analyze' him.
This is really what Keefe is looking for. For a person like him, love is something intensely passionate, lasts forever, and should only be directed at one person. Flings and one-night stands are simply not his style. He will be deeply attached to the girl to the point of dependency, but will never say so out loud. While he probably won't be the most romantic person out there, she can rest assured that he'll stay true and won't go gallavanting off like some other teenage boys. Of course, he'll expect the same thing from her; if she does happen to cheat, even a little, he'll find out about it. It will crush him and he'll break it off immediately; that, after all, is rejection in its worst form.
